Finishing the Preliminary Task
In today's lesson, we finished editing our preliminary task video and added more conventions to make it more effective. Firstly, watching the video back we realized we needed to add some music so finding some dramatic music to overlap the dialogue was the first task. Thankfully, we managed to find music that fitted the style we needed and overlapped that over the clips and dialogue.
Then, after adding music, we needed to finish the editing to the ending of our video, so finding the correct 'explosion' that we needed took a while. But eventually, managed to find an audio suitable and added that in.
Me and Amy spent a little while just going over our completed film and checking that it all sounded and looked good. We then exported the film and uploaded it to you tube so that it could then be added to the blog later.
Finishing and completing the final film didn't take very long so I decided to start my directors study, which i chose to do about Martin Scorsese, the director of Shutter Island; this took me the rest of the lesson and made sure i went into detail about his work.
I researched information such as his director trademarks and his current film work, aswell as his repetitive collaborations with actors and awards.
Whilst doing this, I made sure everything was up to date for my parts of the blog and took note of the other tasks that i needed to do at a later date.
To finish the lesson, I then decided to start thinking about how I could evaluate and correct the preliminary task video and what I could write about for my evaluation of the task.
